Currently the Center houses forty-three apes ranging in ages from eighteen months to forty-seven years. Fourteen orangutans and twenty-nine chimpanzees dwell in a permanent sanctuary home in Wauchula. Each species lives in thirty-foot tall outdoor habitats with lots of climbing areas, swings, and enrichment toys.
