All support for the project comes from individual memberships in the organization, private donor support, and grants from animal welfare foundations. The Center is not open to the public as an attraction, does not receive any type of government funding, and does not (and will not) breed infant apes for sale. There is an ongoing need for lifetime care for primates in desperate situations. The Center is therefore in a continuous mode of fundraising for this care as well as construction of additional indoor and outdoor housing. |
